Norman Webb

Norman is a relative newcomer to cycling.  In 2012, an opportunity emerged to be involved in a charity bike ride – John O’Groats to Lands’ End. I completed this ride with a couple of good friends in just 9 days, managing to collect a tidy sum for several charities in the process. After that, I was bitten by the cycling bug and have since completed several cycling tours in Spain, Poland, France and Italy. I have grown to love the sport in all its forms and being on the South Region Board allows me to put a bit back in.

Norman has held the role of Regional Treasurer and, whilst he’s not an accountant by training, he has tried very hard to make the Region’s financial processes more transparent and as simple as possible. Since retiring in Spring 2017, having spent the better part of 50 years in the hi-tech industry, he has continued the evolution of the Regin’s finances – and if you have any questions regarding the finances of our Region, he is the one to contact.

Apart from leisure cycling, Norman has started to get involved in volunteering as a “helper” at local cycling events. He has recently joined our Region’s “Communications Workgroup” – to support the ambition of providing up to date information about our Region’s various cycling and associated activities.
