South Region Annual General Meeting – Thursday 22 September 2022

British Cycling Federation – South Region – Notice of Annual General Meeting

Thursday 22nd September 2022 @ 7pm

Online Video Call (Call joining details to be advised to attendees individually)

Notice is given of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BC SOUTH Region 2022 at the above time and venue.

The AGM is a key part of our strategy to Lead our Sport and to Inspire our Communities and the meeting is open to all current BC South Region Members to attend either as a representative of your cycling club or as a Private Member.

It is also your chance to meet other members of the British Cycling community in our Region, have your voice heard and vote on our choices and activities that affect the many cycling disciplines that take place and also the proposed new developments to increase cycling participation. We very much hope you will be able to attend.

For this AGM we are seeking nominations for Regional Secretary and Vice-Chair as well as additional Board Members. Please contact us if you are interested in being nominated. Our Regional Chair, Len Hay, is standing for re-election, but other nominations may be put forward by South Region Members. If you are considering a post on the Board, a short (no more than 200 words) biography would be appreciated. The AGM will also be looking for 6 National Councillors to represent the Region at the annual British Cycling National Council meeting in October.

With regard to AGM Voting – if you wish to represent your club and have their voting rights, please agree this with your club/team secretary in the first instance. The number of attendees eligible to vote for each specific club/team can be found within the Regional Councillor Allocation document below:

Regional Councillor Allocation 2022 – South

The voting rights of Private Members will be in accordance with Byelaw 5; this equates to 5 Private Members that are eligible to vote and a ballot of those attending will be made prior to the AGM if there are more than 5, to decide on those appointed to vote.

In order to manage the AGM Voting process properly, we will need to have a full list of all voting Members prior to the AGM.
